Critical to Duraline’s vision is an honest commitment to giving back to both the communities and the environment which have supported our success; as well as treating all our people, both clients and employees with respect and dignity. Every day, we demonstrate our beliefs in the guiding principles of our mission statement in the way we do business, but moreover opportunities are pro-actively sought to develop the communities in which we do business as well as protect the environment we operate in. A prime examples of this commitment is Duraline’s School Tours Program. Recognizing that our children truly determine South Africa’s future, Duraline has instigated guided tours for learners at local schools to learn not only about the myriad of premium quality coatings that the we produce, but also about the basic principles of business management, finance, HR, marketing and most excitingly (if you ask the kids anyway) the production process associated with the company’s fine paints. A similar commitment is shown in Duraline’s Annual Beach Clean Up during which all our employees clean up local beaches in preparation for the holiday season. This project is taken further by the maintenance of all the huts and seating areas along the beach front, using our finest products. Our commitment doesn't stop there however and we are also involved in several other initiatives.

Childrens Development Trust

Mr Len Hauptfleisch founder and CEO of C D T started Duraline Quality paints in March 2000 in the Strand Western Cape, focused on producing high quality coatings and delivering them at a value for money price offering. Given the absolute focus of management's joint experience in manufacturing and distribution, Duraline has grown into the largest Paint Manufacturing operation in the Western Cape, and one of the top ten paint manufacturers in the country. Duraline received the 2002 Entrepreneur of the Year award and 2005 & 2007 Businessman of the year award were both awarded to the CEO Mr Len Hauptfleisch. Based on the same principles of professionalism, integrity, honesty, passion and loyalty as Duraline, the CDT initiative was established. Critical to the CEO's vision is an honest commitment to giving back to both the communities and the environment. Recognising that our children truly determines South Africa's future, Mr Hauptfleisch started the Children's Development Trust as a token of his commitment to contribute to the development of better quality learners.
